Registering for pilot jobs - another way to waste YOUR time:

Example of a job site which makes you enter a lot of personal information (and only afterwards are you told to pay). Here is a cut from the front page:

There is no "prices" link above. It just says "Search Job Postings" and "Enter Your Resume". Lets try the first one, do they have any jobs online?

No, members only. We don't need to pay, we just need to register, whatever that implies. We don't have a resume number, so we click the resume link, to become registered:

And this form appears. It is only about half of it. It asks further down for types, detailed hours specified and other stuff only there to make you waste more time, takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

When all that is done, you finally get to to confirmation screen. Aha, let's see:

So only 20 days we have, but not yet, we must first press the "Activate Subscription" button. Then this screen appears:

Voila, pay us 39 dollars right now, or your time spent on this site is wasted.

Is it really such a big secret that one has to pay that this company cannot be honest and tell you up front?

If it was a proper company they would have told you BEFORE you waste your time. If they pull this on you now, what might they be ready to do later? Whether you want to pay or not, for those who wants to pay, let them pay and fill out the form. For the rest of us who do NOT want to pay, is this company really so naive to believe that just because we wasted our time already, we "might as well pay"?

Or are there really suckers out there, stupid enough to take the bait?

If you are in doubt on any site you visit, send a mail first and ask straight "Is it a free service, or do I need to pay, if so how much?"

I think that was a bit more than two cents worth ...
